Kids Care Club is dedicated to developing compassion and a spirit of volunteering in elementary and middle school children. Last year, this new program was piloted at Longview Elementary School where fourth graders met weekly during the school year to help tackle our communities' problems.
These caring kids identified issues in their school and neighborhoods and put together service projects to provide solutions. They planted flowers for and became pen pals with the residents of Nottingham Place.
Teaching kids at an early age that they can make a difference in their school and community is empowering.
