United Way is working to advance the common good. We focus our efforts in three impact areas: Education, Self-Sufficiency and Health. These are the building blocks of a good life: Equipping people with the tools to reach their full potential, empowering them to live independently, and promoting health and healing.
Last fall , our community embarked on a journey with United Way to raise $4.8 million to meet the increasing needs in Midland County.
Chris Gardner, the inspirational author of The Pursuit of Happyness joined us at the beginning of this quest, reminding each of us that “It’s going to be friends, family and folks in our community who will make a difference in the lives of people who live in our community.”
Truer words could not have been spoken. Our community came together to raise an extraordinary $4,849,115, not only meeting, but exceeding the goal of $4.8 million.
